Jharkhand Mukhbir Yojana :- The Jharkhand government is going to introduce Mukhbir (Informant) Yojana to prevent child marriage. Under this scheme, people who give information about the child marriage scheme to the officials and become the spy of the government, the government will get a cash prize of Rs.1000. Apart from this, 50,000 rupees will be given to all village panchayats in case of child marriage in one year.
The Department of Health and Family Welfare has sent this proposal to the Central Government for approval. The primary purpose of this scheme is to eliminate the curse of child marriage from society. In this plan, the child will be given the necessary counseling which was about to get married. Seekees can be tracked, identified and consulted for minor joints. They will understand the need for marriage at the right age. The government will provide special training for this scheme.
Reward of Rs. 1,000 –
* Anyone who wants to take advantage of this reward will have to provide helpline information number 104 on the incident of child marriage.
* This information should be provided before marriage actually happens.
* The information given should be found correct.
* In the end, people will be able to get cash prize of Rs. 1000.
Reward of Rs. 50,000 –
There are no village panchayats in the state which have no report of cases of child marriage for the entire period of one year. It will be given a reward of 50,000 rupees.
This plan will create a comprehensive awareness and will ensure that complaints are addressed from time to time. Recently in May 2018, the state government has launched a new toll free helpline number service (104) to deal with cases of child marriage.
All reports received from the Helpline service are sent to the cell in-charge and they are immediately transferred to the authorities for action. To date, 10 complaints are being filed for child marriage, with maximum complaints from Ranchi distortion through this helpline number.
In India, Jharkhand alone reports 38% out of total child marriage cases. According to official figures, 63% of cases in Godada district include maximum cases of child marriage. After this, there are 58.8% and 52.7% cases respectively in Garhwa and Deoghar Districts.
